This is the kitchen area for preparation and eating area of the "Mama" House.

Wash area on the back porch of the "Mama" House, Mama, Sophie, would not allow anyone into her house unless all visible area were washed. Note lye soap in the wash pan.

Mama, Sophie Holzwarth would prepare two meals a day in this small kitchen for up to 50 guests. No one every went away hungry or missed a meal.

Note the copper apparatus on the stove that was used for "medicinal purposes only." -- remember this was the 1920s.
