Alpine Ridge TrailheadAlpine Ridge is only a short 1/4-mile walk but because of the altitude (11,796 feet) and the elevation gain (300 feet), this is a strenuous walk.Warning! If there is any indication of thunderstorms or lightning in the area, you should not make this hike. Remember: lightning has been known to strike up to 5 miles from the thunderhead and as the tallest object, you become a prime lightning rod! This applies to all areas above tree line. |
